Oreo Stuffed Peanut Butter Cookies

Kristen form the Joyful Baker shared a very yummy looking recipe on her blog that I knew I just had to try!

MMMM YUMMY!
Oreo Stuffed Peanut Butter Cookies

Here is her Recipe:

1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 package Peanut Butter Oreo cookies

Preheat the oven to 375° F. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter and sugars until smooth. Add the eggs, one at a time until combined.

In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix into the wet ingredients slowly until just combined. Put batter in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

To assemble the cookies, take one tablespoon of cookie dough and place on the top of an Oreo cookie. Take another tablespoon of dough and place on the bottom of the Oreo cookie. Form the dough around the Oreo and seal the edges together. Flatten each ball with a fork, making a criss-cross pattern.

Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes or until the cookies begin to brown around the edges. Do not over-bake.

I could not find regular Peanut Butter Oreos, but I did find Peanut Butter Oreo Fudge Cremes!

The combination of the peanut butter cookie and these oreos... OOOHHHHHH  they were AMAZING!!!!!

Tohoku Tote

Ucreate has started a monthly challenge with a tutorial.  This month's tutorial is from Cheri at I Am Momma - Hear Me Roar for a Tohoku Tote or as I would call it, a purse.  :)

 Here is my finished project!

The pleat in the front is really kinda hard to see but it is there and really very cute!  I love my new purse!  It is even big enough to keep my iPad in!!

Here are my fabric choices.

And I love the bow, it totally adds a feminine touch!

The purse was really pretty easy to sew, and the tutorial was fantastic!  Great explanations and pictures with every step too!

Thanks Ucreate for challenging me this month.  I can't wait to see what other challenges you will have!

Ribbon Storage

I have had my ribbon stored like this for years, and I love it!  I can clearly see all the ribbon that I have and it just rolls off the roll.  I used to only have 2 bars but it was time to upgrade to 3 because I was running out of room so I thought I would share with you what I do.

These are really inexpensive and very easy to install.  I used a simple dowel for the center and then supported it with Cafe Rod Brackets.  The first time I put these up I just used 2 per dowel but after awhile the dowels would droop in the middle from the weight so I suggest using 3 of the brackets, and of course they only come 2 to a package.  :)

I did make sure to put my brackets into the studs of the wall because I didn't want them to be pulling out of the wall.  A lot of ribbon can have some weight to it.

The Cafe Rod Brackets have a screw front so when you have your dowels filled you can tighten the screw so the dowel doesn't move around when your are unwinding the ribbon.

I LOVE my ribbon storage!
