I just love browsing through everyone's projects!  Do you follow me on facebook?  Several times throughout the week I post some of my favorite links.  It could be yours!

Let's take a look at last week's top viewed links!

Leslie from The Seasoned Homemaker shared a tutorial with us on this adorable Wrap Skirt.  I have been wanting to sew one of these for awhile.

April from Holistic Homemaking showed us how she store her homeschooling supplies in a small space.  I love having spaces organized, it makes me feel more peaceful.

Meredith from Wait Till Your Father Gets Home shared this great Crate Seat.  I can think of so many space saving uses for this!

What Can You Make with a Vintage Suitcase?

I LOVE vintage suitcases.  Every time I go to thrift stores I have to check out what they have for suitcases.  I have seen some pretty cool ones but I have never really know what to do with them so I have left them at the store.

It was time for me to do a little research and find some of the cool things that can be done with an old suitcase.  So I thought I would share my research with you.

Have you ever made/created anything out of an old suitcase?

I would love to hear about it!

New Teacher Gift

Today is the first day of school for my kiddos and they are so excited!  I have had their teacher gift planned for a couple weeks but kept thinking I had plenty of time to do it.  So over the weekend I decided it was time to get my hiney in gear and actually make them.

If school starts soon for your little one, this gift can quickly be duplicated as a last minute gift without the vinyl and I am sure any teacher would be happy to receive it.

I got the cups from the Dollar Tree.  I love these types of straw cups and have several between work and home.  So I was thrilled when I saw them at the Dollar Store.

For the inside of the cups I bought some single serve drink packets and some candy bars.  It worked out great because I had 4 cups to fill so each cup got 5 drink packets and 3 mini candy bars.

I found a fun font for each Teacher's last name and cut it out of orange vinyl on my Silhouette.

Vinyl is so easy to use.  After the name is cut, remove the extra and then use some transfer to tape to pick it up off of the  vinyl backing sheet and onto the cup.  Give it a good rub, remove the transfer tape and the vinyl sticks to the cup.

This cup is for Ms. Black.  I think it looks awesome already!

I took a 3/4" circle punch and cut out several small circles from orange, red and blue vinyl and then applied those to the cup as well.  Aren't they fun?!

I divided up the treats and added them to each cup.

I hope their teachers like them!

NOTE: You can't wash these cups in the dishwasher because the vinyl will come off but I think these cups are supposed to be hand washed anyways.

Tag Get Ready for Kindergarten

I just love the excitement of little kids when they are starting school for the first time.  I have a very close family friend whose daughter Shana will be starting preschool in just a couple short weeks and she is soooo excited, that is nearly all she talks about!  I wish I could have that excitement for learning!

We were recently sent the Tag Reading System and the Tag Get Ready for Kindergarten book to review and since Shana is so close to starting preschool I asked her mom if she could help us with the review.

The pen is my absolute most favorite part.  I am sure that it is magic that makes it work.  You touch the pen to the book and the pen talks!  Touch a picture and it will tell you what color it is, touch a word and it will help sound it out, touch a number and it will tell you what number it is!  I think it is absolutely amazing!

The pen comes with a docking station and a USB cord so you can download your books to the pen for even more interacting fun, but it also works right out of the box for immediate enjoyment.

The Get Ready for Kindergarten book quickly became Shana's favorite.  Each page has a different theme and taught different skills.  She loved the interactive alphabet and loved tapping on all of the different letters.   She also like the community page where she could guess which helpers work in what buildings.  It also has a word circus page that featured rhyming words, a dinosaur page and several more!

This Tag Learning System is a great start to teaching the basics of Kindergarten, and the best part is it's fun!

I would highly recommend the Tag Learning System to anyone! I am still in awe of the magical pen!

And Shana gives her approval too!
