My favorite thing about Christmas is all the traditions. I can remember getting together every year with my brothers and sisters and making our Advent Calendars for December. It was a pretty simple calendar, a thick piece of ribbon with some untied yarn sticking through the center that we could tie a piece of candy too. It was so exciting to untie 1 more piece of candy every night because that meant Christmas was one day closer!
My childhood Christmas Advent Calendar is prominent in my memories of Christmas and I want to pass that same feeling of excitement and anticipation on to my kids.
I don't know where my girls get it from but they LOVE to get crafty!
I was so excited when I was asked to review a fun new line of Doodle Deco Craft Projects. My girls where just as excited when I pulled the Memo Boards out and told them it was their turn to get crafty!
Doodle Deco has many different activity kits for your girl/s to choose from. There are stylish bags and fun room decor items that she can completely personalize with her own style. Each kit includes markers and other fun embellishments like rhinestones. The markers color very nicely and the colors are bold and bright.
I debated on having Blog talking Thursday today or not because I know so many people will be busy with family.
But I have also been on the other side of that and have had no plans on Thanksgiving.
So for those of you that can share, I am excited to see what you share and for those who are busy, you can share next week and in fact wont even read this so we don't need ya! Totally kidding by the way :)
I know tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I have heard it said many times to celebrate one holiday at a time. Buuuuuut, I just can't do it. I love Christmas too much!

I was so excited when I was asked to review Just Dance 4.
We are a Just Dance Family and have several of the other Volumes of Just Dance.
This game has come out several times during family get-togethers. It is a fun game that anyone of any age and of any talent can enjoy playing.
Last weekend we invited some families over to our house so we could get our groove on.
My kids were so excited! When I handed them the Just Dance 4 case they started reading over the names of the songs and were claiming their first dance song. There are a lot of great titles like Carly Rae Jepson's Call Me Maybe, On the Floor by Jennifer Lopez and Moves Like Jaggar by Maroon 5. But if you don't like those there are over 40 different tracks and dances to choose from!
I would like to introduce you to Josh & Ashley. They are some good friends of ours who I thought seemed to be having a good time. But you can be the judge of that. They are dancing to the Final Countdown by Europe.
One of the things I love the most about this game is that you don't have to have a Wii Mote to play along. We only have 2 but that didn't stop everyone from still joining in. My daughter Morgan was getting into it!
My favorite dance had to be when Josh and my husband Paul danced to What Makes you Beautiful by One Direction. But he is a little camera shy so I promised no video, only a picture.
Just Dance 4 has many fun options of game play, like Battle Mode where you can challenge your friends in dance battles and Just Sweat, where you can have personalized workout sessions and it includes a real calorie counter!
With Thanksgiving just a couple of days away this game would be a great way to get all of the family together after the big meal. Even those who aren't brave enough to get up and dance, will still have a lot of fun watching those that do. Plus, it will help you work off that extra slice of pie. Or in my family's case, the whole pie! :)
If you would like to purchase your own Just Dance 4 you can get it here on Amazon.com. It also available for the the XBox 360 and Playstation 3.
I start listening to Christmas music usually about a week before Halloween. And, when I start listening to Christmas music I get in the mood to start my Christmas crafts. I am so glad that my hubby puts up with me. :)
Every year my side of the family does a Christmas Ornament Exchange. This is my favorite tradition at Christmas time. There are 7 kids in my family and my Mom. So that means that we make 8 of the same ornament so we can exchange them and all have the same collection of ornaments. I love my family ornaments and they are great keepsakes. I think we have been doing it for about 10 years now so I have a great collection.
Chocolate and Orange is one of my very favorite flavor combinations! I always keep a bottle of orange extract on hand for when the inspiration strikes.
I just love a beautiful wrapped present! I think spending a little extra time on the wrapping can make the recipient feel special.
While searching Pinterest I found several paper bows that I wanted to try my hand at. I did not re-create any of the tutorials because why reinvent the wheel and they did a fabulous job anyways!
I don't know about you but when I am sitting at my computer I like to have my feet up on something. It makes it so much easier for me to sit for a long period of time.
At work I have a cardboard box and I have to place my feet just right on or it will cave in. So I decided it was time to fix that.
I have never met a single person who can resist a handful of Muddie Buddies. I even have a brother in law who has paid me to whip up his very own batch.
Muddie Buddies really are so good and so extremely easy to make. You don't have cook on the stove. All you need is a microwave and the ingredients of course.
