Sorry, I Dropped the Ball
I am a mom, a business coach, a blogger, and a business owner. But first a foremost I am human. Did you know that I am human? Sometimes I forget that and think I can do it all. A lot of the time I can pull it off. I put on my smiley face and give myself a pat on the back as I wipe the sweat off of my brow and congratulate myself for pulling it all together.
But sometimes (and by sometimes, I mean today) a ball gets dropped, something important gets pushed back, and not all goes as hoped. But I am human, remember? So I am going to put that smile on my face anyways, laugh, and remind myself that I am human and it is OK.
So I am sorry. On Fridays I like to share an awesome crafty DIY something. But like I said earlier, I dropped the ball. I didn't read the instructions because my ego kicked in and said "you got this, how hard can it be?" Well apparently the instructions did know better, so this is what you get.
What? You don't like it? I'm shocked!
Now I know this isn't the end of the world, but it also isn't something that I am going to be wearing tomorrow proudly. Where I went wrong is my iron was too hot AND I had the steam turned up all the way on my iron so it caused it to melt all weird. But again, if I had actually spent the 2 minutes to read the instructions I could have fixed all that.
If you are still expecting a tutorial of this totally awesome project. The first step would be READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! Tutorial over. (Shaking my head in pure embarrassment and stupidity.)
If you could see what I imagined you would see a gorgeous DIY shirt. I bought the supplies earlier in the week and had it all planned out. It just didn't work out so well.
I want you to take these fun crafty ingredients and imagine the possibilities. I bet your version is even better then mine!
Remember this the next time you drop the ball and something doesn't work out right just smile and laugh because it's OK, we've all been there, and were only human.
And here's to having a GREAT tutorial on Monday. I think I will start working on that one today so I'm not trying to pull it off to last minute.
Where I Party!
(I'm not sure why you'd want to, but just in case)
